Are Americans Really Dumber than a Bag of Hammers?

The Washington Establishment and its co-conspirators in the "International Community" certainly must think so. They no longer care if their lies are discovered. They are hell-bent on transforming the country into a Third World backwater and they believe the American people are going to let them get away with it. It's up to us to prove them wrong.

Let's get some important basics out of the way.

First, "comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship" is code for stealth amnesty. It is most often used by double-dealing pro-amnesty Republicans who want to escape the political consequences of their actions. Don't be taken in by weasel-worded appeals to "work together to reach a reasonable compromise". In this case compromise is a national suicide pact, the political equivalent of agreeing to jump from a window on the 40th floor instead of one on the 80th floor. The end result is exactly the same.

Second, there are not 11 million "undocumented immigrants" in the U.S. According to the Immigration Counters web site, the actual number of illegals exceeds 25 million, more than twice the official "estimate". "The popular myth that there are '10-11M undocumented workers in the country' is misleading, disingenuous and blatantly false. That figure fails to factor in the chain migration of unemployed dependent family members (wives, grandparents, migrant children, migrant girlfriends, single mothers, anchor babies), the adult unemployed, those incarcerated, transients and fugitives. After the former Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) was directed by Congress to stop counting in 1981, even the conservative numbers of the 2000 Census Bureau (CB) estimated at that time the total illegal immigration population was about 8 million [editor's note: 8 million was the official number of illegals more than 33 years ago!]. That figure was never intended to only represent the number of workers as is incorrectly quoted today."

Third, as nearly as can be determined given the denial of access and near total secrecy surrounding the military bases and other locations housing them, most of "unaccompanied minor children" illegally crossing our borders aren't exactly grade school kids. Despite the pathos-inducing images of "moms with young children", more than 80% of detained illegals are males over fourteen years of age. 

Fourth, the tens of thousands of "undocumented immigrants seeking a pathway to citizenship" pouring across our borders are suddenly being redefined as "refugees seeking asylum". This new label is being used because both U.S. and international law grant special status to "refugees seeking asylum". Asylum is defined as the protection granted by a nation to someone who has left their native country as a political refugee. The lie that these illegal aliens are refugees is designed to (1) legitimize the use of the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement to relocate  illegal aliens to the U.S. interior and (2) convey the legal protections that refugee status grants including almost total protection from deportation. Of course, the invading aliens are no more "refugees" than teen-aged MS-13 gangbangers are "children" in any meaningful sense.

The border crisis did not spring up suddenly and spontaneously. It is the intended result of a planned operation of unprecedented size, one that has been put together over several years at a cost of billions of dollars. It required coordination among many U.S. government offices and agencies, the national leadership of the U.S. Democrat and Republican political parties, establishment media outlets, multiple foreign governments, and several international organizations to bring it about. Please note the timeline and event sequence outlined below.

September 2010 through September 2013: Catholic Charities of Dallas receives $823,658 from the Department of Homeland Security for “Citizenship Education Training” for “refugee and entrant assistance.”

December 2010 through November 2013: The Catholic Diocese of Galveston's Catholic Charities  receives $15,549,078 in federal grants from Health & Human Services for “Unaccompanied Alien Children Project” with a program description of “Refugee and Entry Assistance.” 

January 2012: Obama's Department of Labor enters into “partnership agreements” with foreign countries to preserve the "rights" [sic] of their nationals who are illegal immigrants in the United States. The point person is Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, a former California congresswoman with close ties to the La Raza. Under Solis, the DOL created a special division to enforce labor and wage laws in industries that typically hire illegal aliens without reporting anyone to federal immigration authorities. Solis entered formal agreements with Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and India vowing to protect the "rights" [sic] of their nationals who have illegally entered the United States. Department of Labor regional offices team up with local embassies and consulates from the foreign countries to distribute information to their citizens about their “rights” in the U.S.  

December 2012 through January 2014: Baptist Child & Family Services receives $62,111,126 in federal grants from Health & Human Services for “Unaccompanied Alien Children Program.”   

January 29, 2014: The U.S. Customs and Immigration Service solicits bids to provide escort services for unaccompanied alien children". The solicitation states that "Transport will be required for either category of [Unaccompanied Minors] or individual juveniles, to include both male and female juveniles. There will be approximately 65,000 UAC in total: 25 percent local ground transport, 25 percent via ICE charter and 50 percent via commercial air. Escort services include, but are not limited to, assisting with: transferring physical custody of UAC  [Unaccompanied Alien Children] from DHS to Health and Human Services (HHS) care via ground or air methods of transportation (charter or commercial carrier)." 

July 7, 2014: Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Guatemalan president Otto Perez Molina hold a joint press conference to formally announce a new program that will allow Guatemalan citizens to legally travel through Mexico in their effort to enter the United States illegally. Guatemala is one of three sending countries accounting for most of the illegal aliens coming across the U.S.-Mexico border during the ongoing surge. The agreement grants Guatemalans 72 hours of legal status while they make their journey to the U.S. The "Southern Border Program to Improve Passage" will increase the number of border checkpoints along the Mexico-Guatemala border, provide medical care, and offer Guatemalans a Regional Visitor's Card. The card grants Guatemalans enough time to make the trek to Mexico's northern border. The program will also offer protection and financial assistance for unaccompanied minors who attempt to make the journey. There is absolutely no chance that the Mexican government would make such an agreement unless it had assurances from the U.S. government that there would be an outlet for those Central Americans to transit through out of Mexico at the U.S. border.

July 8, 2014: In a story posted in San Jose, Costa Rica, the Associated Press reports that United Nations officials are pushing for many of the Central Americans fleeing to the U.S. to be treated as refugees displaced by armed conflict, a designation meant to increase pressure on the United States and Mexico to accept tens of thousands of people currently ineligible for asylum.

President Obama's snarky arrogance makes it tempting to lay all blame for this disaster at his feet and he does own much (but not all) of it. In any case, millions are asking themselves and each other, “Why aren’t the Republicans doing something to stop the invasion? The answer is straightforward: the national leadership of the Republican Party is a willing participant in the attack on American sovereignty through amnesty and has been for many years.

As one who has personally gone through it, I understand how painfully hard it is for people to admit that "their party", the party whose candidates they have supported for years with work, contributions and votes, would betray them. Somehow they have managed to excuse or ignore countless public statements and legislative initiatives over the course of many years from the likes of President George W. Bush, Senator John McCain, Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator Marco Rubio, Speaker of the House John Boehner, and recently defeated House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. If you are one of those good people, turn up your sound and listen carefully to Speaker John Boehner's sneering attack on Republican House Members who oppose amnesty. If that doesn't convince you of the futility of expecting a rescue from the national Republican "leadership", nothing will.

All Together Now, "Freedom Isn't Free!"

America's television outlets expended many hours of programming on the Fourth of July to celebrate freedom. Effusive expressions of thanks to the brave men and women of our military for their heroic sacrifices filled the airwaves and our minds. This is standard content designed to remind the people on this sacred day of their patriotic duty to support Washington's War on Terror. I say this by way of pointing out that most of it was self-serving crap!

Now before my e-mail server crashes under the weight of an e-mail blizzard from furious members of the Red, White and Blue brigade, take a deep breath and hear me out.

American exceptionalism is very real and the idea is important beyond measure. Over the years its meaning has been deliberately perverted by agenda-driven ideologues. What made America exceptional was not her military power or her economic potential. No, America was exceptional because, of all the nations on earth, only America recognized that rights originated with God and not government. In the words of the Declaration of Independence, all people are "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights". Until the Declaration it was believed that a person had only those rights granted by government. After the Declaration we knew that rights originated with God. That concept was truly revolutionary and it forever changed the world.

Before continuing it should be clearly understood that I am no pacifist. My two eldest sons are retired career military men. I personally spent five years on active duty in the U.S. Army with the 1st Cavalry Division, the 7th Infantry Division, and XVIII Airborne Corps. I love the American Republic of myth and memory. I believe passionately in the founding ideas expressed in the Declaration of Independence and swore an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That said, as hard as it is to do, it must now finally be admitted that the Constitution and the American Republic that it created are as dead as Madison. 

Today we are ruled (not represented) by a monstrous centralized governing apparatus that has long since forfeited any claim to constitutional legitimacy or moral authority. It cannot honestly be said that our brave young fighting men and women around the world (and they are brave) are defending our country or our freedom. They are unwittingly fighting to sustain and expand an Empire. The constitutional American republic is a ghost, a persistent illusion that exists only in history. The most important American freedoms no longer exist at all.

If you cling to the belief that you are free, do you understand that Washington now claims that its operatives can:

• Kill you and every member of your family at any time at the sole discretion of the President?
• Secretly arrest, torture and indefinitely imprison you and every member of your family forever?
• Seize and dispose of everything you own?
• Secretly break into and search your home, your car, and your business?
• Secretly intercept all of your personal conversations, letters, e-mail and all other private communications?

These are criminal acts committed in arrogant defiance of the Constitution's plain language. The Obama and Bush administrations (and others before them) paid a great deal in legal fees over the years to construct "a legal framework" justifying Washington's near total refusal to obey the Constitution. The most recent and most sinister work product of that undertaking is contained in the just-released heavily-redacted memorandum used by Obama to justify the extra-judicial killing of two Americans in the Middle East. The memorandum's premise, as simple as it is chilling, reduces to this: Government's need to perform its functions trumps individual rights. Always! Once that "legal principle" was adopted, the Bill of Rights and the rest of the Constitution was a dead letter. There is now literally no act, however heinous, that is forbidden to Washington.

That you and I may not yet have been personally victimized is immaterial. Our turn will come soon enough. What matters is that Washington is now doing these things to others and, importantly, it is being allowed to do so by the American people. The question is, what is to be done about it?

Many Americans are preparing themselves against the day, feared by many to be imminent, when they will have to defend themselves and their families against efforts to disarm them during the imposition of martial law. It is widely believed that this event will trigger the beginning of a popular revolution. Although events could play out in that way, history suggests that a violent revolution may not be necessary.

Established governments almost never fall from power because they are overwhelmed by armed resistance. Throughout Western history, governments fall, regardless of type, when the population withdraws its grant of moral authority and the regime's insiders abandon it. Consider the example of the Soviet Empire. The Soviet Union had 2.7 million men under arms and possessed very advanced military weaponry but when it collapsed in 1991 it was with a whimper, not a bang. The American Empire is travelling toward the same end and for many of the same reasons. Today's unhappy citizens should consider whether it makes sense to divert an existential threat's attention away from the process of destroying itself. The regime is tottering toward its grave. It will collapse under its own rotten weight.

That does not mean that preparing to defend and sustain life, family and community in an environment that is very different from today's is a mistake. Given the current state of affairs, the United States is unlikely to survive as a political entity in its current form. Its implosion and the resulting political, social and economic collapse will almost certainly be accompanied by at least local chaos. Prudent individuals as well as local communities would be well advised to prepare for that eventuality.

Washington Has Gone Completely Mad!

America is under attack by her own government!

 

Over the course of many months President Barack Hussein Obama has secretly colluded with foreign governments, the Senate and House leadership, the leadership of the national Democrat and Republican political parties, and several foreign and domestic private entities to plan, facilitate and launch a massive illegal alien invasion of the territory of the United States of America across its southern border. To implement this invasion, the administration is brazenly providing tax-payer funded financing and making other government assets available for transportation and other logistical support. 

 

More than 50,000 illegal “unaccompanied minor children” are reported to have already been transported by federal agencies to relatives living in the United States. Some of those relatives are themselves illegal aliens. Over 80% of those “unaccompanied minor children" are males over 14 years of age. An unidentified number of them are reported to be drug cartel gang members. An additional 240,000 illegal aliens from Central America are also being transported to undisclosed destinations in the United States. These numbers do not include the tens of thousands of illegals in various phases of “processing” on both sides of the border. There are, by the way, more than twice the number of illegal immigrants in the U.S. than the frequently-cited official figure of 11 million. Go here to see how many there really are.The administration has imposed gag orders on federal workers and is lying to the press and to inquiring members of Congress in an effort to hide the full extent of the disaster.

America's continued existence has become an inconvenience to the internationalist elitist clique that runs the world. The decision has been made to begin the end game of a plan that has been advancing for many, many years. So confident of success are the would-be rulers of this world that they no longer bother to conceal the identities of their puppets. All of the pieces are in place.

1. The American population has been successfully dumbed down over the course of generations by a centrally-controlled educational establishment. Millions of Americans have virtually no knowledge of their history or understanding of their heritage.
2. The "news" and "entertainment" mass media work tirelessly from an obviously coordinated script, saturating the public mind with pornography, mindless diversions, and a continual blizzard of outright lies.
3. Public confidence in the country's elected officials and government agencies has been driven to sub-basement levels as a result of repeated demonstrations of pointless arrogance, gross incompetence, and rampant corruption.
4. America's economy is being systematically destroyed along with its national currency. Its manufacturing base has been exported.
5. It is no accident that America's traditional military forces have been sapped by decades of pointless wars and are scattered around the world even as the career command structure is decimated by trumped-up firings and the surviving ranks demoralized by dictates requiring acceptance of homosexual perversion.
6. Nor is it an accident that Obama has built his new army under the umbrella of Department of Homeland Security agencies, equipped it with armor, and supplied it with billions of rounds of ammunition, just as he openly promised to do with stunning arrogance in his Colorado Springs speech of July 2, 2008.
7. The deliberately planned and carefully orchestrated Border Crisis is classic Cloward-Piven Strategy: create a crisis that cannot be solved, propose and implement "solutions" that only make it worse, and then wait as the result overwhelms resources leading to collapse.

The Monday after Independence Day?

Could the potential future history outlined in the next few paragraphs be what the IMF's Christine Lagarde was alerting her fellow elitists about in her remarkable speech to the National Press Club earlier this year? After all, next Monday (applying Ms. Lagarde's demonstrated formula) really does calculate to 7/7/(2+0+1+4=7)!

At 11:05 New York time on the morning of Monday, July 7, 2014, the Liberian-flagged freighter Alimar and its mostly Bosnian 14-man crew steamed steadily northward in choppy seas forty miles off the coast of New York. Three hundred miles above the stratosphere, the Kwangmyongsong 3 satellite approached what would be its final destination over Indianapolis. It tumbled in a sun-synchronis polar orbit as it had since its launch eighteen months earlier. At the same time, in a sweltering shack seven thousand miles away, North Korean Senior Colonel Dae-Ho Yun chain smoked and paced nervously. His attention was divided between the wall clock's minute hand and the field phone atop his Artillery Corps command headquarters desk. 

The Kwangmyongsong 3 weighed nearly 200 pounds and was roughly the size of an apartment-sized washing machine. When its fission payload detonated at 10:11 a.m. local time in broad daylight more than 300 miles above Indianapolis the flash that accompanied the resulting explosion was barely noticeable from the ground. The event certainly did not escape the attention of Captain Kevin Reynolds, Duty Officer for the North American Aerospace Defense Command at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs. He reached quickly for the red telephone--but it was already much too late.  

Although U.S. Defense Department Officials claimed that the low yield of Pyongyang's nuclear weapons' tests was evidence of failure, they were either spectacularly wrong or deliberately deceptive. North Korea was intent on developing a Hegemon-killing "Super EMP" weapon, not a mere atomic bomb. Instead of wasting the weapon's power in the generation of explosive blast, heat, and light, energy was diverted to produce a gamma ray pulse more powerful than would have been produced by a much larger thermonuclear fusion device in the multi-megaton range. Upon detonation, every electronic device between the Front Range of the Rockies and the Atlantic not shielded by a Faraday Cage was rendered instantly and permanently inoperable.

At eleven minutes after midnight local time, forty miles north of Seoul, a grim-faced Senior Colonel Dae-Ho Yun strode to his desk, extracted a silenced Makarov pistol from the center drawer, and efficiently shot dead the two non-commissioned headquarters clerks working at their desks. He picked up the field phone, barked out a terse two-word command, and then sprinted from the headquarters building toward shelter. Two minutes later, hundreds of NKPA M-1978 KOKSAN 170 millimeter self-propelled guns and MRL240 M-1985 rocket launchers launched a fire storm of high explosive death at the rate of 350 shells per minute on the 24 million unfortunate people of Seoul and the more than 5,000 American 2nd Infantry Division troops garrisoned just south of the DMZ at Camp Casey. Most of the Americans were sound asleep when they died. 

At 11:11 a.m. New York Time an Iskander missile was launched from the highly modified deck of the Alimar. Fifteen seconds later the Alimar and her unsuspecting crew ceased to exist, vaporized in a blinding flash so powerful that it registered briefly on NORAD satellite instruments. It took slightly less than thirty-one seconds for the Iskander to reach Manhattan at Mach 7. The 50-kiloton warhead detonated in the middle of the trading day at an altitude of 300 feet and killed every living person within one mile in all directions. Virtually all structures within a circle two and one-half miles wide were destroyed. Everyone within two miles of ground zero who survived the air blast suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns.

Much of the financial, communications, employment, manufacturing and agricultural capacity of the United States was completely destroyed and it effectively ceased to exist as a functioning nation-state--all in the span of less than two minutes.

The oligarchs who run the world are frightened. People are awakening, the world's economies are crumbling, and the old lies don't seem to be working any more. As anyone who's hunted big game or spent much time in the woods will tell you, a wounded predator is a dangerous predator. Whether it is the scenario described above or an alternate to played out in the Ukraine or the Middle East, the accelerated flow of events and the increasingly desperate tone of establishment figure heads combine to suggest that a significant trigger is about to be tripped. The oligarchs need to divert public anger.

Pay No Attention to the Man Behind the Curtain!

Here is what we are supposed to believe:

• A "humanitarian crisis" has been created by a "sudden and unexpected tidal wave" of 52,000 "unaccompanied minor children" arriving on our southern border.
• These "unaccompanied minor children" somehow managed to survive the 2,200 mile trek from Honduras to the Texas/Mexican border, crossing deserts, mountains, rivers, and large chunks of cartel-controlled Mexican geography in the process.

Tens of thousands of "unaccompanied minor children" from Central America could not possibly have arrived suddenly at our borders without large scale transportation and logistical support from several governments and the complicity of the establishment news media. It is both absurd and insulting to imagine that anyone would believe such a fairy tale. This manufactured crisis, more than any other, demonstrates the establishment elite's utter contempt for the American people and the truth.

We are not supposed to notice that:

• Washington's corrupt and arrogant politicians in both parties have been totally committed for more than a decade to granting amnesty to the more than 25,000,000 (not the official false number of 12,000,000) illegal immigrants already here  despite overwhelming opposition from the American people!
• In June of 2012, the Obama administration announced that it would accept requests for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), an initiative designed to temporarily suspend the deportation of young people residing unlawfully in the U.S who were brought to the United States as children, meet certain education requirements and generally match the criteria established under legislative proposals like the DREAM Act.  
• On January 29, 2014, the Department of Homeland Security posted an advertisement on the FedBizOps.gov website (since removed) seeking contractors to “provide unarmed escort staff, including management, supervision, manpower, training, certifications, licenses, drug testing, equipment and supplies necessary to provide on-demand escort services for non-criminal/non-delinquent unaccompanied alien children ages infant to 17 years of age, seven days a week, 365 days a year. … There will be approximately 65,000 [unaccompanied alien children] in total.” Since that solicitation, Homeland Security officials have upped their prediction and now estimate more than 90,000 unaccompanied children will be apprehended this year.
• The Republican leadership is openly colluding with President Obama, Democrat members of Congress, "news" media (including neoconservative Fox News), and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to ram this nation-wrecking legislation through Congress. The establishment was stunned when Eric Cantor, the ultimate Republican sellout, lost his primary race and subsequently his House Majority leadership position because of his open participation in this betrayal.
• Despite heart-wrenching media pictures of cute little toddlers, more than 80% of the "unaccompanied minor children" being "temporarily" housed at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas at taxpayer expense are teen-aged males older than 14. Chris Carbrera,Vice President of the National Border Patrol Council Local 3307 in the Rio Grande Valley, said that confirmed gang members in Mexico — including those from Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) — are coming into the country to be reunited with their families, National Review reported on Friday.
• The MS-13 gang is one of the most violently dangerous gangs in the United States - and one of the most organized. It maintains operations in Washington DC, Oregon, Alaska, Arkansas, Texas, Nevada, Utah, Oklahoma, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Canada, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, and several other South American countries.  It has been known to have ties to al Qaeda since at least 2005.

If this deliberate and coordinated nation-destroying behavior does not constitute treason and qualify the Washington establishment as a "domestic enemy" of the American people, nothing does or ever will.

Searching for Truth in the Empire of Lies

The American people are trapped in a real-world Matrix. Unlike the 1999 Keanu Reeves movie of that name, our Matrix is constructed of misinformation, disinformation, and outright lies. Virtually everything we think we know about our political system is false.

The United States does not have a "two party system". There is one party, the Washington Party, and it has two wings.

• The Republican wing's job is to confuse those concerned about "national security".
• The Democrat wing's job is to distract those focused on helping "the poor".

The political fights between "Republicans" and "Democrats" are as staged and phony as a World Wrestling Federation championship match but they do manage to keep us divided. The oligarchs who populate the Washington Party's wings live in the same neighborhoods, belong to the same clubs, go to the same parties, and share an intense contempt for the nation's culture and the intelligence of its people. Every night they go to their Georgetown homes to laugh over a glass of Chablis at the gullibility of the people out here in "flyover country".

The people who run the Matrix no longer seem to care if their increasingly obvious lies are believed or not. The primary objective seems to be to make the "news" so confusing that no one can decipher what is really happening. Or, alternatively, perhaps the establishment's "deciders" have finally gone completely mad. Take careful note of this pattern of related recent events and the scripted behavior of establishment politicians.

 

The Apparent Event	The Public Distraction	The Underlying Reality
Benghazi, Libya: The U.S. consulate is attacked by terrorists resulting in the deaths of four Americans, including the Ambassador.	A fight between Republicans and Democrats over the administration's initial claim that the attack was provoked by an anti-Moslem video, its failure to save the Americans and a subsequent "cover up", of facts related to the incident.	The American consulate in Benghazi appears to have been a CIA installation that served as a transfer point of heavy weapons to Syria in support of the Syrian insurrection against Assad. Prior to the Khaddafi's overthrow by NATO forces, there was no U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, without which the incident could never have happened.
Damascus, Syria: A violent civil war breaks out with Sunni Syrians rebelling against “the evil dictator”, Assad, an American-trained Opthalmologist whose supporters come from the minority Alawite sect of Islam. Assad, whose military forces protect Syria's minority Christians from Sunni fanatics, is supported by Shia Iran.	A fight between Republicans and Democrats over the administration’s failure to support the Syrian Sunni “Freedom Fighters”.	The Syrian Sunni “Freedom Fighters” were stood up, trained, equipped, and advised by NATO nations, including the U.S. They included so-called “moderates”, Sunni members of Al Qaeda, and Sunni members if ISIS. The latter group was so violent they were expelled from Al Qaeda membership.
Baghdad, Iraq: The ISIS “terror group” routes the U.S. trained and equipped Iraqi Army and seizes one-third of Iraq, including oil refineries in the north. The Kurds Peshmerga Army ejects the Iraqi Army from territory it controls. Iraq is effectively divided into three pieces with the section remaining under Baghdad’s control occupied primarily by Shia Moslems and supported by Iran.	A fight between Republicans and Democrats with the former accusing the Administration of losing the “gains” achieved by American forces following the invasion and occupation of Iraq by withdrawing to soon. The GOP’s neoconservatives are also furious that the administration has entered into discussions with Iran about potential military cooperation to stop ISIS from taking Baghdad. It is alleged that ISIS has obtained “STINGER” missiles.	It was the American attack on Iraq and subsequent removal from power and execution of Saddam Hussein that destabilized Iraq and the rest of the Middle East, an attack falsely justified by first claiming that he was involved in the 9-11 attacks and, later, that he possessed weapons of mass destruction and a growing nuclear capability. That attack was the precipitating event that led directly to today’s crisis. If ISIS has “STINGER” missiles, they were most likely obtained during NATO’s surreptitious arming of that group to fight Assad’s Air Force.

 

Incredible as it may sound, the United States and its NATO allies are actively supporting both the ISIS and Baghdad government sides in the new Iraq civil war with weapons and training. This is sheer madness!

The Matrix is using Washington's political infighting to divert attention from the violent systematic destruction of political order that now affects large populations stretching from Libya and Egypt across the Middle East and extending as far as the Ukraine. At the same time--and not coincidentally--the people of the United States and European Union have so little confidence in their respective political institutions and are so concerned with the real condition of their national economies as to place political stability in these regions at potential risk. The goal is to manufacture global political, military, and economic chaos to justify imposition of a New World Order upon a frightened and compliant population.

 

Around the world, large national military forces armed with nuclear weapons are circling each other, positioning themselves. The spark has been lit. We are one economic or military Black Swan event away from catastrophe.

Terminal Cognitive Dissonance

Fox News has finally succeeded in making itself as unbelievable as MSNBC. That the current Iraq crisis is the direct result of the U.S. invasion of Iraq and the overthrow and subsequent execution of Saddam Hussein is undeniable. The increasingly frantic efforts of Fox News on-air personalities to divert audience attention from this inconvenient bit of history borders on the comical.

For the benefit of any readers who might mistake my motives, I believe Barack Hussein Obama to be a dangerous Socialist hack who has done and continues to do great damage to the nation. Please see "Stealth Strike Treason" which was written in January of 2013 and is archived on this site. That said, it is dishonest and completely unacceptable for neo-conservatives, whose policies ignited the still-burning fuse, to blame anyone else for the escalating violence in Iraq, violence that has spread across the Middle East, reached into the Ukraine, and now threatens to engulf the Baltic and beyond.

Cognitive dissonance has been defined as the mental stress and discomfort experienced by an individual who is confronted with new information that conflicts with existing beliefs. Millions of patriotic Americans are experiencing cognitive dissonance as events in Iraq collide with the false official narrative that has been drummed into their consciousness since September 11, 2001. If you are among those struggling to square what you've been told about Iraq with the fact that Iran's Islamic government is intervening militarily in an effort to protect the U.S.-installed government in Baghdad, the answer is straightforward. You've been told a pack of lies.

In the wake of 9-11 most politicians wisely avoided directly accusing Iraq of involvement in the attack. Instead they changed the subject, falsely accusing Saddam of possessing "weapons of mass destruction" which threatened the United States. It's worth mentioning that the "weapons of mass destruction" (WMD) label is itself a propaganda device of neo-conservative invention. This newly made-up weapons category allowed them to conflate chemical and biological agents (which many nations in the region possess in limited quantities) with nuclear weapons, a labeling that was then used to conjure up images of a mushroom cloud over Des Moines. The correct nomenclature is "unconventional weapons" or "NBC weapons" (for nuclear, biological, and chemical).

It is an indicator of just how conscious they were of their duplicity that neo-conservative politicians relied upon their propaganda organs (Fox News, The Washington Times, National Review, and the editorial pages of The Wall Street Journal) to create the false linkage between Iraq and 9-11. The media campaign to deceive the public was successful. As late as 2011 some 41% of the American people still believed that Iraq was involved in the 9-11 attacks, down from a high of 70% in 2003.

Let's take a quick walk down memory lane to review a small sample of what was actually said by a few of the principle actors. Most, but notably not all of them, were Republicans.

"Liberating Iraq would be a cakewalk." –  Kenneth Adelman, a member of the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board, February 13, 2002 

“The time has come for decisive action to eliminate the threat posed by Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction. … Saddam Hussein’s regime is a grave threat to America and our allies, including our vital ally Israel.” - Senator John Edwards, D-N.C., addressing the U.S. Senate, September 12, 2002 

"If left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons.  Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well, effects American security.” – Senator Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., addressing the U.S. Senate, October 10, 2002  

"It’s a slam dunk case" – Former CIA Director George Tenet about evidence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, December 21, 2002  

"We know where they [weapons of mass destruction] are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat." –Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, ABC News interview, March 30, 2003  

"The truth is that for reasons that have a lot to do with the U.S. government bureaucracy, we settled on the one issue that everyone could agree on, which was weapons of mass destruction, as the core reason [for invading Iraq]." – Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, "Vanity Fair" interview, May 28, 2003   

"There was a concerted effort ... to pin 9-11 on Saddam. It began in the fall of 2001 and it came from people around the White House." General Wesley Clark, Retired NATO Commander, NBC, "Meet The Press", June 15, 2003 

"My belief is we will, in fact, be greeted as liberators. . . . I think it will go relatively quickly, . . . [in] weeks rather than months." – Vice President Dick Cheney,"Meet the Press", September 14, 2003    

"We expected, I expected to find actual usable, chemical or biological weapons after we entered Iraq. But I have to accept, as the months have passed, it seems increasingly clear that at the time of invasion, Saddam did not have stockpiles of chemical or biological weapons ready to deploy." – British Prime Minister Tony Blair, July 14, 2004  

It was just weeks after the terrorist attacks that the first link between Saddam and al-Qaida was alleged by the administration. It came from Cheney, who said it had been "pretty well confirmed" that Mohamed Atta, the man held responsible for masterminding the Sept. 11 hijackings, had met with a senior Iraqi intelligence official in April 2000, an allegation congressional investigators later dismissed.
Sunday, Cheney began the group of Bush administration officials denying any ties between Saddam and Sept. 11. He said "we don't know" whether Saddam was connected to the attacks, but admitted, "It's not surprising that people make that connection."
The vice president also said: "If we are successful in Iraq, if we can stand up a good, representative government in Iraq that secures the region so that it never again becomes a threat to its neighbors or to the United States, so it's not pursuing weapons of mass destruction, so that it's not a safe haven for terrorists, we will have struck a major blow right at the heart of the base, if you will, the geographic base of the terrorists who have had us under assault now for many years, but most especially on 9/11."
White House National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice, in an interview aired late Tuesday on ABC's "Nightline," said one of the reasons Bush went to war against Saddam was because he posed a threat in "a region from which the 9/11 threat emerged." But she insisted, "We have never claimed that Saddam Hussein had either direction or control of 9/11."
Her remarks echoed those of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld during a briefing for reporters at the Pentagon earlier Tuesday. Asked if Saddam was personally involved in the Sept. 11 attacks, Rumsfeld replied, "I've not seen any indication that would lead me to believe that I could say that."
White House spokesman Scott McClellan reiterated to reporters yesterday that the administration never directly linked Saddam to the Sept. 11 strikes.
"If you're talking specifically about the September 11th attacks, we never made that claim," McClellan said. "We do know that there is a long history of Saddam Hussein and his regime and ties to terrorism, including al-Qaida."

It is necessary to go back to the very beginning of the "war on terror' era to sort this out. Despite desperate efforts to avoid responsibility by blaming Obama, the current Iraq crisis did not arise because of the President's feckless ineptitude (which is no less real). No, today's problem exists because President George W. Bush and his neo-conservative brain trust decided to invade, occupy, and impose "regime change" in Iraq. Not only was the Iraq war planned well in advance of 9-11, but its plotters were brazen and arrogant enough to publish their plan a year earlier and put it on the Internet! If you doubt that charge, by all means download and read Rebuilding America's Defenses, a "report" commissioned by Dick Cheney and delivered in September, 2000, two months before the Presidential Election and one year before the attacks of 9-11. Repeatedly citing the existence of Saddam Hussein's regime and the entire list of neo-conservative "regime change" targets as justification, the report advocated "transforming" the U.S. military into a force capable of enforcing U.S. mandates around the world, a transformation that would establish a de facto American Empire. Page 63 contains the following provocative and vey interesting sentence.

"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event-like a new Pearl Harbor."

The attack of 9-11 provided that "catalyzing event". It was shortly followed by the invasion of Iraq which, as President Bush's inner circle knew full well, had absolutely no involvement in the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks.

Until a crisis occurs, most Americans, busy raising families and earning livings, are only marginally interested in the daily behind-the-scenes machinations that define Washington's political landscape. Because it received almost no coverage in the popular press or television news outlets, only a few know of the decades-long war waged beneath the surface for the Republican Party's soul, a war ultimately lost by traditional conservatives. Fewer still understand the motives of the combatants or appreciate the impact of that struggle's outcome on today's political scene. Many Republicans and real conservatives have no idea that their party, the Republican Party, was surreptitiously hijacked and subsequently subverted.

Here is what happened.

In the 1950s a small group of Trotskyite intellectuals became disenchanted with aspects of Marxism and began a philosophic migration away from communism. The new movement paused briefly at the "Scoop" Jackson/Hubert Humphrey faction of the Democratic Party before selecting the Republican Party as its final host. The migration was led by Irving Kristol and Leo Strauss, the intellectual fathers of neo-conservatism. Slowly but surely, movement activists worked their way into the inner circle of Republican Party machinery. By the mid-80s, they were a force to be reckoned with within the Party. A short but incomplete list of prominent movement members would include Elliott Abrams, Ken Adelman, Richard Armitage, John Ashcroft, John Bolton, Richard Cheney, Douglas Feith, David Frum, Charles Krauthammer, Irving Kristol, William Kristol, Richard N. Perle, Daniel Pipes, Karl Rove, Donald H. Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, and Dov Zakheim.

By the way, that many neo-conservatives are Jews is true but irrelevant. The neo-cons use this demographic fact to vaccinate themselves against opposition by playing the "anti-Semitic" card whenever their policy preferences are challenged. The tactic is intellectually dishonest and illogical but it has certainly been effective.

Traditional conservatives never really understood the power of propaganda, naively believing that facts and logic would carry the day. They even allowed neo-conservatives to define the terms under which the battle for control of the GOP would be waged. The very labels that the neo-conservatives assigned to the combatants (neo-conservative and paleo-conservative) served the neo-conservative purpose. Those labels conferred an undeserved legitimacy on neo-conservatism, creating the illusion that a symmetrical division existed within the body of conservatism when, in fact, that which calls itself neo-conservatism is not conservative at all.

It is only necessary to listen to what neo-conservatives openly admit to understand that they are amoral relativists who are using the Republican Party as a host as they manipulate the public in their drive for total power. Consider these quotes.

"You are a reality-based guy and that’s not the way the world really works anymore. We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.” Karl Rove (as quoted by Ron Suskind) 

"There are different kinds of truths for different kinds of people. There are truths appropriate for children; truths that are appropriate for students; truths that are appropriate for educated adults; and truths that are appropriate for highly educated adults, and the notion that there should be one set of truths available to everyone is a modern democratic fallacy. It doesn't work." - Irving Kristol

"...one can say that the historical task and political purpose of neoconservatism would seem to be this: to convert the Republican party, and American conservatism in general, against their respective wills [emphasis added], into a new kind of conservative politics suitable to governing a modern democracy." - Irving Kristol

"Neocons do not feel that kind of alarm or anxiety about the growth of the state in the past century, seeing it as natural, indeed inevitable. Because they tend to be more interested in history than economics or sociology, they know that the 19th-century idea, so neatly propounded by Herbert Spencer in his "The Man Versus the State," was a historical eccentricity." - Irving Kristol

For his part, Strauss wrote an entire book ("Natural Right and History") praising what he called the political realism of the ancients who denied that there was any natural human right to liberty or truth. He was especially taken with Plato's discourses on "noble Lies." Strauss implicitly believed, as did Plato, that "noble Lies" were essential to stable government because they gave the people meaning and purpose. Strauss also believed that secrecy is necessary tool for ruling elites. In "Persecution and the Art of Writing", he explained that "the wise" must conceal their motives and actions in order to protect themselves from uprisings and reprisals.

Finally, the neo-conservatives are dangerous to the nation for reasons that go beyond their willingness to fight to the last drop of somebody else's blood. It is neo-conservative GOP party leaders, including the likes of just-defeated House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, who are working hand in glove with the Obama administration to ram amnesty for millions of illegal aliens down the throats of the American people. The newly-minted "humanitarian crisis" resulting from thousands of unaccompanied illegal minor "children" flooding across our southern borders is a glaring example of that cooperation. It is time to wake up and smell the coffee.

So there you have it. Based on the prolific written admissions of the movement's founders and the purposeful actions of Cantor and his peers, neo-conservatives stand exposed as purposeful liars and incipient totalitarians who hold the American people and their traditions in absolute contempt. Today they control much of the national GOP's internal workings. If you are an authentic conservative who values the Republican Party and cares about the nation, just how much do you appreciate where the arrogantly dishonest neo-cons have taken "the Republican party, and American conservatism...against their respective wills?"
